Sex & Porn Addiction
Compulsive sexual behavior and pornography use are often not just about the behavior itself. Beneath the surface, there are usually deeper patterns connected to anxiety, shame, loneliness, stress, trauma, emotional disconnection, or the need to escape uncomfortable internal states.
My approach is not rooted in judgment or shame. It is about understanding the pattern beneath the pattern.
As a therapist trained in trauma-informed work and CSAT-informed treatment approaches, I help individuals and couples explore the underlying emotional, relational, and nervous system dynamics that keep compulsive cycles in motion. Together, we work toward awareness, honesty, regulation, accountability, and deeper connection.
Using principles influenced by The Holland Method, our work focuses on helping clients:
Identify unconscious patterns and triggers
Understand the emotional function of addictive behaviors
Develop healthier coping and grounding practices
Reconnect to the body and emotional awareness
Build integrity, self-trust, and emotional capacity
Move from shame and secrecy toward honesty and integration
Strengthen intimacy, communication, and relational repair
For many people, addiction is less about weakness and more about disconnection — from self, from others, and from deeper emotional truth. Healing often begins by slowing down long enough to understand what the behavior has been trying to solve.
Whether you are struggling personally with compulsive sexual behavior or navigating the impact within a relationship, therapy can become a space for clarity, structure, healing, and meaningful change.
